FAQ
-
What does the Build Your Own Basket plugin do?
-
This plugin allows store owners to create a customizable “Build Your Own Basket” product page where customers can assemble their own basket by choosing from different product categories, with support for minimum/maximum selections, optional base prices, and per-category extra costs.
-
Where can I change the plugin settings?
-
Go to QuanticEdge > Build Your Own Basket in your WordPress admin dashboard. There you can configure the main basket title, base price, and the category/child product rules and design elements.
-
Can I change the product title after activation?
-
Yes! When you update the “What the customer will be building?” field in the plugin settings and save, the title of the created product will automatically synchronize.
-
How do I add or configure categories for the basket builder?
-
In the plugin’s settings page, use the Product Categories field to add product categories. For each category you can set an additional cost, minimum and maximum number of products allowed, and whether selection from the category is required.
-
Does the plugin support charging extra for certain category choices?
-
Absolutely! When configuring each category, you can specify an additional cost, which will be added to the basket total if a customer selects a child product from that category.
-
Can I set minimum and maximum product limits in each category?
-
Yes. Each category you add can have its own minimum and maximum values for how many products a customer must or can select.
-
Is it possible to require the customer to choose at least one product from a category?
-
Yes. Enable the “Required” checkbox for any category that must have at least one selection.
-
Does it work with other product types or only simple products?
-
The plugin is designed to work with simple products within selected categories. For optimal results, your basket-eligible products should be well-organized in product categories.
